Tahoe City, CA (August 5, 2026) – A two-vehicle rollover left at least one person hurt following a collision at the intersection of SR-28 and Lake Forest Road on August 4.
According to CHP dispatch reports, the crash was reported at about 11:28 a.m. Initial information indicated that two vehicles were involved and that one vehicle had rolled over, with later updates confirming it had come to rest on its roof. The second vehicle sustained major front-end damage, and the roadway was partially blocked while emergency units worked to clear both lanes.
The report was later updated to reflect minor injuries.
No additional information about those hurt was immediately available.
The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
