Mecklenburg County, NC (July 29, 2026) – One person was taken to the hospital after a head-on collision along Davidson-Concord Road near R.C. Bradford Park in northern Mecklenburg County on Tuesday, July 28.
Emergency units worked for about 10 minutes to free the trapped person from a vehicle after the two-vehicle crash, which was reported around 8:43 p.m. The injured person was then taken to a local hospital for treatment. No additional injuries were confirmed in the initial report.
The roadway remained closed in both directions following the wreck, while crews worked to clear it and investigators gathered information.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation as more information becomes available.
