Santa Clarita, CA (June 28, 2026) – A multi-vehicle traffic collision was reported on June 27 on the northbound State Route 14 just south of Placerita Canyon Road in Santa Clarita.
According to CHP dispatch information, the chain-reaction involved a white sedan, a Dodge Ram 1500, and a gray Tesla. Initial reports indicated two vehicles, but later updates suggested that as many as four vehicles may have been involved. One vehicle was reported facing the wrong direction in the fast lane, while a Tesla was blocking the No. 1 lane. Another vehicle was partially obstructing the fast lane, creating a hazard for approaching traffic.
Emergency units were called to the roadway shortly before 3:00 a.m. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the highway. Dispatch notes later indicated that at least four vehicles were in the HOV lane, with two facing the wrong direction. The extent of any injuries has not been confirmed.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation as additional information is gathered.
