Arlington Heights, IL (June 17, 2026) – A three-vehicle collision with reported injuries occurred at the intersection of Arlington Heights Rd and Rand Rd in Arlington Heights on Tuesday, June 16.
Emergency units were called to the intersection around 11:03 a.m. after reports of a traffic crash involving three vehicles. Upon arrival, crews found a silver BMW 535i sedan, a blue SUV with severe front-end damage, and a black Tesla that sustained less extensive damage.
According to initial information, the BMW and the SUV came into contact in the intersection. The SUV then traveled into the Tesla, which was stopped at a red light in the right lane of westbound Rand Rd (US-12). Early reports indicated that one or more people traveling in the BMW may have been taken to a nearby hospital, although that information had not been confirmed.
The roadway was cleared and normal traffic resumed by around 11:40 a.m. Additional details about the accident had not been made public as of this report. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances that led to the crash.
