What Factors Can Contribute to Rear-End Motorcycle Crashes on Highways?
Routes like Interstate 295 near the Buckman Bridge often carry heavy traffic with varying speeds. In Jacksonville, these conditions can increase the risk of sudden slowdowns, especially near construction zones.
Motorcycles require more stopping distance than some drivers expect, and changes in traffic flow can happen quickly. When vehicles slow or stop ahead, riders may have limited time to react.
Rear-end crashes involving motorcycles can be severe due to the lack of protection for the rider. Lane closures, traffic congestion, and driver awareness can all influence how these types of collisions occur.
