Ogden, UT (March 23, 2026) – A 14-year-old boy was critically injured in a crash involving a mini motorcycle Sunday night, March 22, in Ogden. The collision occurred around 10:17 p.m. at the intersection of 7th Street and Adams Avenue.
Authorities said the teen was riding northbound on Adams Avenue when he entered the intersection at the same time as a vehicle traveling eastbound on 7th Street. The driver, a 40-year-old woman, was unable to stop in time, and the vehicle struck the mini motorcycle.
Emergency units responded to the scene and provided aid before the teen was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
We are thinking of the teen as he receives medical care.
Mini Motorcycles and Small Vehicles Can Increase Risk in Traffic
Mini motorcycles and similar small vehicles can be harder for drivers to see, especially at intersections. Their size and speed may make it difficult to judge distance and timing.
When these vehicles enter intersections alongside larger cars, the risk of collision can increase. Limited protection for riders can also lead to more serious injuries in the event of a crash.
Awareness from both drivers and riders can affect how safely they share the road. Traffic flow, visibility, and timing all influence how these incidents occur.
