Jamestown, NY (January 13, 2026) – A tragic pedestrian crash that occurred on Saturday evening in Jamestown has claimed the life of a local man, according to city police.
The incident happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Bowen St and Falconer St. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim, identified as Kendel R. Bell, lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Immediate lifesaving efforts were initiated by officers before emergency medical services arrived.
Bell was transported to UPMC in Jamestown and later transferred to UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA, due to the severity of his condition. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, on Sunday.
Authorities have not yet released information on the driver involved or the circumstances that led to the collision. The investigation into the fatal crash remains active as officials work to determine contributing factors.
