Kenansville, FL (January 15, 2026) – A deadly collision involving two semi-trucks occurred Tuesday afternoon on State Road 60 in Osceola County, resulting in the loss of one life and prompting a full investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash took place around 2:40 p.m. on January 14 near the intersection of SR-60 and Peavine Rd in the Kenansville area. Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the individual has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Troopers and emergency personnel responded quickly to the rural stretch of highway, where both directions of traffic on SR-60 were brought to a standstill as crews assessed the damage and began their investigation. The scene remained active for several hours into the afternoon as authorities worked to clear the wreckage from the roadway and reroute drivers.
The crash involved two large commercial vehicles, though no additional injuries were reported at the time of the initial response. FHP has not yet provided details about the sequence of events that led to the collision, stating only that the incident remains under investigation.
