What Factors Are Commonly Examined in Rollover Crashes on Rural Roads?
After rollover crashes on rural highways, investigators often review road alignment, shoulder width, and surface conditions. Curves, slopes, and roadside hazards, such as trees, are also assessed to determine how a vehicle left the roadway.
Vehicle dynamics are another focus area, including speed, tire condition, and braking patterns prior to the rollover. These details can help explain why a driver may lose control in certain sections of the roadway.
Occupant injuries and vehicle damage patterns are also analyzed to reconstruct how the crash unfolded. This information helps build a clearer picture of the sequence of events leading to the collision.
