Kissimmee, FL (January 22, 2026) – A significant traffic crash caused severe delays along Florida’s Turnpike early Thursday morning, impacting commuters near the US-192 exit in Osceola County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 7:00 a.m. on the northbound side of the Turnpike, just north of the exit for US-192. The extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed, but the impact of the crash was enough to temporarily shut down all lanes in the area.
Emergency crews responded promptly, and the roadway was eventually reopened after the scene was cleared. However, substantial traffic backups lingered through the morning as congestion stretched for miles during peak travel hours.
Authorities advised drivers traveling from St. Cloud toward Kissimmee to use Narcoossee Rd as an alternate route while residual traffic cleared from the scene.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash. No details have been released regarding the number of vehicles involved or whether any citations will be issued.
Our thoughts remain with all those impacted by this morning’s incident, and we hope for the safety and recovery of anyone injured.
