Preliminary information indicates the RV may have swerved while attempting to change lanes, resulting in a loss of control. No further details have been confirmed at this time.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available. We extend our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
What Can Cause Large Vehicles Like RVs to Lose Control
Recreational vehicles are larger and heavier than standard passenger cars, which can make them harder to control during sudden movements. Lane changes, especially at highway speeds, require careful timing and awareness of nearby traffic.
If a driver swerves abruptly, the weight and height of an RV can increase the risk of tipping over. Towing another vehicle can also affect balance and braking.
Open highway areas and exit ramps can add to the challenge, especially when traffic is moving quickly. Maintaining steady control and allowing extra space can help reduce the chance of rollover crashes.
