Long Beach, CA (January 21, 2026) – A violent two-vehicle accident sent a Tesla crashing into the front of a pharmacy and into a neighboring coffee shop on Monday night, leaving both drivers injured, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. on January 19 at the intersection of Roosevelt Rd and Atlantic Ave. Authorities stated that the crash involved a Tesla and a Honda Accord, with the force of impact sending the Tesla off the roadway and through the storefront of a local pharmacy. The vehicle continued into an adjoining coffee shop before coming to a stop.
Emergency crews arrived quickly and transported both drivers to a nearby hospital for treatment. While the specific nature of their injuries was not released, both required medical attention.
Fortunately, no pedestrians or patrons inside either business were harmed during the incident. City building inspectors evaluated the property shortly after the crash and confirmed that the structure did not sustain any critical damage and was deemed safe.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash and have not yet disclosed whether speed, distraction, or other factors contributed to the collision.
