Long Beach, CA (January 9, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision with reported injuries on Wednesday morning on the eastbound 91 Freeway near Atlantic Ave in Long Beach.
The crash took place around 9:15 a.m. on January 7, causing delays in the eastbound lanes as first responders arrived on scene. Dispatch audio indicated that at least one person may have sustained injuries as a result of the collision. Paramedics provided on-site medical evaluation and care to the individuals involved.
The California Highway Patrol was called to assist with traffic control and investigate the circumstances of the crash. While no official update has been given regarding the severity of the injuries or the identities of those involved, both vehicles were reported to have sustained visible damage.
