Louisville, KY (January 28, 2026) – A serious single-vehicle accident occurred at Eastern Pkwy and Baxter Ave on January 27, leaving two men injured after their vehicle collided with a utility pole.
Responding units from Louisville Fire and EMS arrived at the intersection after receiving reports of a Honda Accord that had struck a pole. The vehicle was found with significant front-end damage, and both occupants, a pair of 40-year-old males, suffered head injuries.
Despite the impact, both men were reported to be conscious and alert at the scene. Emergency crews assessed their conditions and began treatment on-site before arranging for transport. The severity of their injuries has not been officially disclosed.
The roadway remained partially blocked during the emergency response as medics and fire personnel worked to stabilize the scene. Investigators are working to determine what led the vehicle to veer into the pole.
