Oakland, CA (August 17, 2026) – Three people were reported trapped inside a Toyota RAV4 after a major crash on Sunday evening, August 16, on the Broadway on-ramp to northbound Interstate 880 in Oakland. The collision involved the RAV4 and a white Honda Accord.
The crash was reported around 7:22 p.m. near the Broadway on-ramp. The RAV4 was reported to have three occupants trapped inside, while the Honda was blocking the on-ramp. Emergency units responded to the scene, and additional assistance was requested for the occupants of the RAV4.
The Honda was reported to have major front-end damage, and both vehicles required towing from the area. The crash was later classified as a major-injury collision. The incident remains under review by authorities.
