Savannah, GA (June 28, 2026) – A man was killed after a house fire early on Friday morning on Wesley Street in Savannah.
The fire was reported around 3:04 a.m. on June 26, in the 00 block of Wesley Street. Firefighters arrived and found flames coming from the rear of the home. Crews began fighting the fire while also searching the residence, where they found one person dead inside.
The victim’s identity has not been released until relatives are notified. A cat also died in the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
