San Antonio, TX (July 17, 2026) – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle early on Thursday on U.S. Highway 90 near the 5000 block of Spurs Ranch in San Antonio.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene around 4:50 a.m. following reports of a major crash. A witness told investigators they noticed what appeared to be a body lying in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 90 while traveling through the area. After turning around and stopping to check on the individual, the witness contacted authorities.
The police said the man, believed to be between 35 and 45 years old, showed signs of having been hit by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The witness did not observe the collision itself, and authorities have not released information about the vehicle involved.
The eastbound main lanes of U.S. 90 were temporarily closed while officers processed the scene. The investigation into the fatal wreck remains ongoing.
