Harris County, TX (August 15, 2026) – A man was killed, and two others were injured on Friday evening in a four-vehicle crash on the East Fwy in Harris County. Deputies were called to the 13700 block at about 6 p.m.
A BMW X3, Honda Civic, Hyundai Sonata, and a tractor-trailer carrying construction equipment were involved. The tractor-trailer was parked on the outside shoulder for planned roadway construction.
Three people were inside the Hyundai. The driver and front passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. An adult man in the rear passenger seat was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary review found the Honda, Hyundai, and BMW traveling westbound in the main lanes when they collided. The Hyundai then struck the rear of the parked tractor-trailer, while the Honda rolled over and stopped on the service road. The BMW rotated and stopped in the main lanes.
The Honda and BMW drivers were not injured. No drivers showed signs of intoxication, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing.
