Corpus Christi, TX (August 15, 2026) – Two people were killed, and two others were hospitalized on Friday afternoon after a four-vehicle crash on Hwy 361 in Corpus Christi. Police said the wreck was reported around 3:40 p.m. on the 8100 block near Corpus Christi Fire Station 16, north of Beach Access Rd 3.
The two people who died were occupants of a vehicle involved in the chain-reaction collision. Two other people were taken to a local hospital, though their conditions were not immediately available.
Hwy 361 was closed in both directions for about three hours while the collision was investigated. The highway reopened on Friday evening after crews cleared the roadway. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing, and additional details may be released as they become available.
