Maricopa, AZ (January 16, 2026) – A motorcyclist tragically lost their life in a deadly accident involving a semi-truck early on Thursday morning on State Route 347 near Cement Plant Rd, according to local officials.
The fatal collision occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on January 15 in the northbound lanes of SR 347 near milepost 182. Authorities confirmed that the individual was riding a motorcycle when they were struck by a semi-truck traveling in the same direction.
Responding officers and paramedics arrived quickly and attempted life-saving efforts, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.
