What Makes Motorcycle Crashes on Highways So Dangerous?
Motorcycle crashes on highways often involve higher speeds, which can increase the severity of injuries. Riders have less protection than those inside vehicles, making them more exposed during a collision.
Rear-end crashes can be especially dangerous for motorcyclists. Even a minor impact can throw a rider from the bike and into active traffic lanes.
When a rider falls into the path of other vehicles, the risk of secondary impacts rises. Traffic flow, lane position, and reaction time all influence how these situations unfold.
