What Happens After a Hit-and-Run Boating Incident on Open Water?
Routes carrying regional traffic near Biscayne Bay can experience delays after accidents. Crews in Miami Beach often focus on securing the area and assisting those involved during water-related emergencies.
Boating incidents can be more complex than roadway crashes due to limited visibility, water movement, and fewer immediate reference points. When a vessel leaves the scene, it can make it harder to identify those involved and understand how the crash happened.
In these situations, responders often rely on witness accounts, nearby video footage, and vessel descriptions. Injuries may vary depending on how people entered the water and how quickly help arrived.
