Why Motorcycle Accidents at Intersections Are Common
Intersections are high-risk areas for motorcycle crashes because multiple vehicles are often moving in different directions. Drivers may misjudge the speed or distance of motorcycles, which are smaller and harder to see.
Turning movements, sudden stops, and lane changes can all contribute to collisions if drivers are not fully aware of their surroundings. Even at low speeds, a motorcycle crash can result in injuries due to the limited protection riders have compared with car occupants.
Awareness and caution from both motorists and motorcyclists are key to reducing the risk of accidents at busy intersections.
