Miami, FL (January 14, 2026) – A routine medical response on Northwest 50th Street took an unexpected turn Tuesday afternoon when a collision occurred involving a city emergency vehicle.
Crews had initially responded to assist an 85-year-old man experiencing pain at a residence near NW 50th St. As responders worked the medical call around 3:30 p.m., a separate incident unfolded when their vehicle was reportedly involved in a crash with another car at or near the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol remained on location to assess the situation and assist with the traffic-related investigation. While details regarding the crash are still limited, no serious injuries were reported from the secondary incident. The elderly male was treated by paramedics, though it is unclear whether he required hospital transport.
