Oakwood, IL (July 7, 2026) – A crash involving two semi-trucks on eastbound Interstate 74 near Oakwood resulted in minor injuries on Sunday afternoon, July 5, around 1 p.m.
The Illinois State Police arrived at the scene and found two semi-trucks involved in the crash, with fire and heavy smoke reported coming from the vehicles. Eastbound Interstate 74 traffic was temporarily diverted onto US 150 at Exit 206 while crews worked at the scene. The left lane reopened shortly before 4:30 p.m., and all lanes were reopened around 8:30 p.m.
