York Township, OH (July 7, 2026) – One person died, and two others were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon, July 5, at the intersection of State Route 109 and County Road D in York Township, Fulton County.
According to investigators, the crash happened at about 5:27 p.m. on. A 2002 Ford Windstar was traveling south on State Route 109 when a westbound 2015 GMC Terrain entered the intersection from County Road D. Investigators said the Terrain driver, identified as 25-year-old Gabriel Caley of Fayette, failed to stop at a posted stop sign before striking the Windstar.
The force of the collision sent both vehicles off the southwest corner of the intersection, where they hit a utility pole and a cable box before coming to rest in a nearby cornfield. Blaine Warnimont, 29, of Cloverdale, who was driving the Windstar, was taken to Fulton County Health Center, where he died. A passenger riding with Warnimont was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Caley was taken to Fulton County Health Center with minor injuries. The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering evidence.
