Sacramento, CA (July 24, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash resulting in minor injuries was reported on Wednesday evening, July 22, on westbound I-80 near the I-5 interchange in Sacramento.
The collision was reported at approximately 5:56 p.m. Initial reports indicated that six to 10 vehicles were involved, including three SUVs, a semi-truck, a blue sedan, and two additional vehicles. One vehicle came to rest in the center divider while others stopped along the right shoulder, and debris was scattered across the travel lanes.
Medical assistance was requested after one vehicle appeared to have sustained heavy damage. The crash was later classified as a minor injury collision. By about 6:13 p.m., all vehicles had been moved to the right shoulder, and the roadway was cleared a few minutes later. No information about the number of people hurt or the severity of their injuries was immediately available.
