Why Do Multiple Crashes Happen During Busy Morning Hours?
Morning travel often brings heavy traffic, which can increase the chances of crashes in a short period of time. Stop-and-go conditions may lead to rear-end collisions, especially when drivers follow too closely.
Limited visibility from early daylight conditions or weather can also affect reaction time. When one crash occurs, it may slow traffic and raise the risk of additional collisions nearby.
Busy roads with frequent intersections or merging lanes can add to the challenge. Staying alert and allowing extra space between vehicles can help reduce the likelihood of chain-reaction crashes.
