Mooresville, IN (January 10, 2026) – A pedestrian was killed late Friday night following a collision involving an on-duty officer with the Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department, authorities confirmed.
The fatal crash occurred just after 11:00 p.m. on January 9. According to police, the officer was operating a patrol vehicle when the collision took place, striking a pedestrian who was reportedly in the roadway at the time. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident but were unable to save the individual, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released, as officials are working to notify next of kin.
