Marietta, SC (July 4, 2026) – A crash involving a moped and a pickup truck claimed the life of a 62-year-old moped driver on Thursday night, July 2, at the intersection of Dacusville Highway and Dalton Road in Marietta. The collision was reported at approximately 11:40 p.m., and emergency units responded to the scene.
The Pickens County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Lynn Major Hansen, 62, of Greenville. Officials said a forensic autopsy is scheduled for Monday as part of the investigation.
