Moreno Valley, CA (January 2, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision in Moreno Valley on Friday evening left one person with serious injuries, according to information from the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 5:01 p.m. near the intersection of Morton Rd and Penunuri Pl. Responding crews located two damaged vehicles at the scene and began immediate care for those involved.
One individual sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Officials have not disclosed the identity of the injured party or the nature of their injuries at this time.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the vehicles to collide. Investigators are reviewing potential contributing factors, including road conditions, driver behavior, and visibility.
While the roadway remained partially blocked during the initial response, traffic delays in the area were kept to a minimum.
