Pecatonica, IL (July 4, 2026) – An apparent injury crash involving an SUV and a sedan was reported on Thursday morning at the intersection of U.S. 20 and S. Conger Road in Pecatonica. Emergency units were dispatched to the scene at about 11:45 a.m. on July 2.
Witnesses said a Jeep SUV was turning eastbound toward Winnebago when it was struck by a westbound BMW. The impact sent the Jeep into a ditch with its airbags deployed, while the BMW came to rest in the median. A damaged yield sign was also visible near the intersection.
A medical helicopter and an ambulance responded to the crash. The conditions of the people involved have not been released, and officials have not confirmed the extent of any injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
