Kettleman City, CA (July 26, 2026) – A semi-truck and an unknown vehicle were involved in a collision with reported injuries early on Friday, July 24, on northbound Interstate 5 near the Utica Avenue off-ramp in Kettleman City.
EMS and Fire were dispatched to the scene after the collision was reported around 4:25 a.m. According to preliminary information, initial reports referenced a white sedan and a tour bus. As emergency units investigated, they determined the crash involved a white semi truck pulling a 53-foot refrigerated trailer and an unknown vehicle.
The semi truck was pulled onto the right shoulder near the Utica Avenue off-ramp, while the other involved vehicle was later found in an orchard and was accessed from Utica Frontage Road. Tow truck services were requested, and additional personnel responded to assist with the investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with more information expected to be released later. We are thinking of those injured as they receive medical care.
