Laytonville, CA (July 28, 2026) – A motorcyclist suffered a broken leg and major injuries in a crash with another vehicle on Sherwood Road between Laytonville and Brooktrails on Sunday, July 26, according to dispatch logs. A witness said the motorcycle had been traveling at a high rate of speed and drifted into oncoming traffic before the wreck.
Emergency crews worked to arrange a medical helicopter for the rider. A tow was later requested for the motorcycle. The circumstances remain under investigation.
