Aurora, CO (June 1, 2026) – A man lost his life, and a woman was hospitalized after a late-night motorcycle crash near East Iliff Avenue and South Idalia Street in Aurora, police said.
Officers responded to the intersection at 11:49 p.m. on Saturday, after reports of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a Honda CR-V. Investigators said an unidentified man and woman were riding westbound on a motorcycle that had been reported stolen when the eastbound Honda attempted a left turn onto South Idalia Street and struck the motorcycle.
Both riders were taken to a hospital following the crash. Police said the male rider later died from his injuries, while the woman remained hospitalized as of Sunday morning. Authorities stated the Honda driver fled the roadway after the collision. Investigators later located the unoccupied vehicle abandoned a short distance away. No arrests or suspect identifications had been announced.
Police continue investigating the fatal wreck, and speed may have contributed to the collision. We extend our condolences to the family and loved ones of the man who died and hope the injured woman recovers fully.
