Pinetop, AZ (June 1, 2026) – One person died, and another was hurt following a house fire early on Sunday morning on Apache Trail in Pinetop.
According to available information, emergency units were called to the residence shortly after 1:45 a.m. on May 31. Upon arrival, crews found the home fully engulfed in flames and learned that one person remained unaccounted for inside.
Personnel entered the residence, located the person, and removed them from the structure. The person was taken to a hospital, where they later lost their life. The victim’s identity had not been released as of this report.
A second person escaped the home and sought assistance from a nearby neighbor before being taken to a hospital. Details regarding that person’s injuries were not immediately available.
