Charlotte Hall, MD (August 10, 2026) – The police are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Saturday night, August 8, at about 9:56 p.m. on Budds Creek Road near Penns Hill Road in Charlotte Hall.
Preliminary reports indicated the male rider was unconscious and not breathing after his motorcycle left the roadway near Allens Fresh Road. The rider was found about 20 feet off the roadway in a wooded area. CPR had begun before emergency units arrived, and resuscitation efforts continued at the scene.
A 19-year-old woman was also evaluated after the crash. She was taken by ambulance to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Budds Creek Road, also known as Route 234, was closed between Edgewater Drive and the Penns Hill Road/Allens Fresh Road area following the crash.
