Huntington Station, NY (June 19, 2026) – A 46-year-old motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a traffic crash involving an SUV at the intersection of Park Ave and E 5th St in Huntington Station on Wednesday, June 17.
The police said the collision occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. Investigators reported that the Huntington man was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson southbound on Park Ave when he came into contact with a 2025 Subaru SUV at the intersection.
The rider was taken to Huntington Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. His identity was not released pending notification of family members. The driver of the Subaru, a 79-year-old woman, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety inspections as detectives continued reviewing the circumstances surrounding the wreck. Additional details about the accident had not been made public at the time of publication. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence and examine the factors that led to the collision.
