Rochester, NY (June 19, 2026) – A hit-and-run driver seriously injured a pedestrian at the intersection of Clifford Ave and Portland Ave in Rochester early on Thursday, June 18.
The police said the accident occurred shortly after midnight in the city’s northeast section. Emergency units arrived and found a 60-year-old woman with multiple injuries after she was struck by a passing vehicle.
The woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. Investigators said she was listed in critical but stable condition later Thursday morning.
According to investigators, the vehicle involved left the roadway before officers arrived and has not yet been located.
