Knoxville, TN (July 4, 2026) – A motorcyclist died on Thursday night following a crash on Interstate 640 East in Knoxville. Emergency units responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m. on July 2, after reports of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
The Knoxville Police said the motorcyclist struck another vehicle before colliding with a barrier wall. The rider was transported to UT Medical Center but was later pronounced dead. The exact circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
