Stone County, MO (September 12, 2026) – A 66-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident on Thursday evening on Route M, about three miles south of Nixa in Stone County. The accident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on September 10.
An 85-year-old Nixa man driving a 2012 Toyota Tundra was making a left turn when he entered the motorcycle’s path. The 66-year-old rider attempted to avoid the pickup, overturned, and slid into the Toyota.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at 8:18 p.m. He was wearing a safety device at the time. The BMW motorcycle was totaled, while the Toyota sustained moderate damage. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
