Seattle, WA (August 28, 2026) – A 30-year-old motorcyclist died Wednesday after a car struck his motorcycle at 6th Ave W and W Nickerson St. A witness called 911 around 11:23 a.m. to report the collision.
A Seattle Fire Department engine was passing through the area when people flagged down the crew and reported the injured rider. Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center, where he died shortly afterward.
The driver of the car fled the area and was not located. Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation, and people with information or video footage are being asked to contact investigators.
The investigation into the fatal wreck remains active. Our condolences go out to the man’s loved ones.
