The Dangers that Intersection Crashes Hold
Crashes at intersections often occur when a vehicle enters a roadway without fully clearing oncoming traffic. The angle of impact can concentrate force on one side of the vehicle, increasing the risk of injuries to drivers and passengers.
Seatbelts help protect occupants by restraining movement during impact, reducing the likelihood of striking interior surfaces. Emergency responders focus on rapid assessment and transport to medical facilities, particularly when injuries range from minor to moderate.
Visibility, traffic speed, and adherence to traffic signals are key factors in preventing intersection collisions.
