Brooklyn, NY (July 7, 2026) – Fifteen people were hurt on Monday morning, July 6, after an MTA bus and a tractor-trailer were involved in a collision in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn. The accident was reported just before 10:00 a.m. between West Street and East First Street.
Emergency units arrived after the report and found the bus and truck involved. Video from the scene showed a large law enforcement presence as rain fell in the area.
All 15 people had minor injuries and were brought to nearby hospitals for care. The MTA said the bus was taken out of service after the wreck.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. We hope everyone injured receives the care they need and recovers quickly.
