Sacramento, CA (August 14, 2026) – A series of collisions blocked multiple lanes of southbound SR-99 at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Thursday, August 13, according to dispatch logs. Reports described a gray SUV striking a white pickup towing a trailer that detached and blocked additional lanes, as well as a separate crash involving a black Kia van found facing the wrong way in the slow lane.
One occupant was reported to be possibly trapped in a vehicle. A patient was later taken to UC Davis Medical Center. The MLK on-ramp to southbound 99 was also blocked for a time before the roadway fully reopened by early afternoon.
Details about the extent of the injuries were not immediately available. We hope everyone involved has a full recovery.
