San Diego, CA (July 15, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash with major injuries was reported early on Tuesday on northbound Interstate 15 near West Bernardo Drive south of Pomerado Road in San Diego.
The crash was reported shortly after 2 a.m. Dispatch information indicated that two separate collisions involving multiple vehicles occurred in the same area. The vehicles involved included a gray 2021 Ford Bronco, a white 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300, and a black 2015 Jeep Compass.
One report indicated a Ford vehicle was involved in a crash with airbags deployed. A later update confirmed one of the collisions involved major injuries, while another vehicle occupant reported not being hurt. Tow truck services were requested for several damaged vehicles, including one with front axle damage.
The identities of those involved and the full extent of the injuries were not released. The investigation into the collision is ongoing as more information becomes available.
