New Haven, CT (July 15, 2026) – Several people were injured after a tractor-trailer and an SUV collided before the truck struck a building early on Tuesday, July 14. The accident happened near Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Kimberly Avenue at approximately 12:15 a.m.
The truck driver became trapped inside the cab as blocks and debris pressed against the doors. Emergency units removed the obstructions, allowing the driver to exit without being carried out. He was described as alert and conscious.
Multiple people were taken to hospitals with injuries, though their names and medical conditions were not released. Crews remained at the location until at least 4 a.m. while the damaged vehicles and building were examined.
