What Happens After a Large Multi-Vehicle Crash?
Large multi-vehicle crashes usually require a detailed review because several vehicles may contribute to the sequence of events. Investigators typically examine vehicle positions, roadway conditions, damage patterns, and available witness accounts to understand how the collision developed.
Commercial trucks can add additional factors because of their size, weight, and fuel systems. Investigators may also review whether spilled fluids, debris, or roadway conditions affected the situation after the initial contact. A complete review can help create a clearer timeline of what happened and identify the factors involved in the collision.
