What Happens When a Vehicle Crashes Into a Residential Structure?
When a vehicle crashes into a home, both the occupants of the vehicle and anyone inside the structure may be at risk. The force of impact can cause structural damage, including compromised walls, support beams, or utilities.
Emergency units typically assess both the crash scene and the condition of the building. In some cases, residents may need to leave the home temporarily if it is deemed unsafe.
Crashes involving utility poles can also create additional hazards, such as downed lines or service disruptions. These situations often require coordination to secure the area and address any risks before repairs can begin.
