Nashville, TN (April 20, 2026) – A crash involving a tanker truck and a passenger vehicle shut down eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near mile marker 192 on Sunday, April 19, not long after 3 p.m. The incident occurred near McCrory Lane, near the border between Davidson and Cheatham counties.
Two people were taken to the hospital following the collision. Their conditions have not been confirmed.
The eastbound lane closures caused significant delays for drivers in the area throughout the afternoon. The scene was cleared by 6:40 p.m., and it had been removed from the state’s traffic monitoring system, with all lanes reopened.
